Troubleshoot an X or Twitter Video Download
Fix common issues with public post links, unsupported media, and temporary X video download errors.
The link is rejected
Use an HTTPS link to a post on x.com or twitter.com with a /status/ post ID. Shortened t.co links are not accepted directly; open the link in X first and copy the final post URL.
No download options are shown
The post may be private, deleted, unavailable, or may not contain supported media. This service does not sign in to X or access protected posts. Supported public posts can include videos, GIFs, or images.
The download fails temporarily
Try again once after checking the post URL and your connection. If the same temporary error continues, the public source or upstream media service may be unavailable. Do not repeatedly submit the same request; wait and try later.
The downloaded video is not in Photos or Gallery
Browsers usually save files to a Downloads location. Check your browser’s download list or the Files app on iPhone and Android. Saving a file does not necessarily add it to a photo library automatically.
